Classic Legacy is known as the “go to vendor” to source new ideas and to develop gifts for the unique market of luxury resorts and hotels. A recent request from the Hotel Monteleone was to create custom note cards. The Hotel Monteleone is the only hotel in New Orleans that is both a literary landmark and a historic landmark. Here are the steps that we took.
Work with High Resolution Images
It is so important to begin with the best image when creating custom gifts. The Hotel Monteleone emailed us their crest logo, an image of the iconic creole lady, and the outside of the hotel. Our graphic artist then worked with these images. We added a quote on one…….”It has been said the French Quarter begins in the Lobby of the Hotel Monteleone.”
Source High End Papers
We wanted our note cards to be the best! It is important to source the best papers and the clear acetate covers that protect each note card that will be displayed. We chose a cream paper that worked well with all four images.
Offer Unique Displays for Custom Note Cards
Displays don’t have to be complicated…..but they need to be unique to be noticed. We have found that a simple bucket embellished with burlap and one of our elegant brass oxidized medallions is a great way to display the custom note cards. This bucket has also been used to display our elegant cuff bracelets.
Write a Note
When you visit New Orleans and the Hotel Monteleone be sure to stop by and see Lisa in the gift shop. Ask for one of the custom note cards and WRITE A NOTE! Last fall I loved walking around the French Quarter…..which begins in the Lobby of the Hotel Monteleone! Just a few blocks away is Jackson Square and I loved just looking at the architecture and the art all around.
