Historic hotels that use their history as an asset enhance their guest’s experience. I love learning about the history of my travel destination. The Hotel Del Coronado is a client of Classic Legacy. This year, 2013, is their 125th Anniversary. Many presidents, movie stars, and dignitaries have stayed here. The Hotel Del has even invited guests to share memories. History is a great connector in this “connection economy”, a term I first heard Seth Godin use.
Est. 1888 is the gift store at the Hotel Del that features gifts that evoke memories and history. Here is the story of how we developed one-of-a-kind custom gifts using their historic vintage logo and photo.
Vintage Logo and Photos
We were given a black and white line drawing of the old Hotel Del Logo. We also were given several jpg images of vintage Hotel Del photos.
Our Graphic Artists Create Images for Products
Using the above images our team of graphic artists added color and text to these historic images to create medallions and marble images for Classic Legacy gifts. The buyer approves each step along the way to creating the final custom gifts.
