When I think about the Classic Legacy  I am inspired by so many mentors.   They may not even know it but they are part of my team.   I want to share with you three  groups that inspire me.   Two are from  design blogs and the other  one Facebook.     I attended Blogworld for the first time just less than a year ago.   Look carefully in the photo I”m the second from the left in the second row.   I began to understand the  value of blogs, Facebook, Twitter, and all of Social Media.   Here are three that influence my Classic Legacy designs.  They give me inspiration visually and technically.

The Stone Gable

The Stone Gable Blog was first recommended to me by Sandy, of A Butler’s Pantry in Zionsville, IN.   I love this blog.  It is full of beautiful photography and everything is REAL……beautiful Tablescapes, recipes, tutorials, and a home & decor  section.     This blog fills my need to see beauty…..it is like a magazine but more real!  Here is one of her beautiful photos.

Mari Smith Facebook Expert Inspired Designs

Facebook is  important  in business.   The question is, how do we stay on top of all the changes that seem to come constantly.   I have found an expert.  Her name is Mari Smith.  She was a speaker at Blogworld and is a delightful Scottish Canadian who now lives in San Diego.  I particularly like this recent post that describes the number 1 mistake that is made on Facebook personal profiles.   Be sure to read Mari’s blog and also follow her on Facebook.

Design Sponge=Tips for Business Owners and Designers

Design*Sponge currently has 75,000 daily readers on the main site, over 120,000 RSS readers, 280,000 + Twitter followers and 20,000 Facebook followers.  I first found the Design Sponge from a post from the Dallas Market’s Facebook page.  This site if a gold mine of ideas, helpful tips, and knowledge shared by so many.   My favorite section is for BIZ LADIES.   Check out this post on selecting the right products for your store or website.   Rena Tom is the author and she is a retail strategist

Yvonne, I can tell it is a labor of love! …..and I love your style. My father was a farmer and I can relate to so many of your ideas. I will enjoy continuing to follow you.
