Our new collection of wonderful colorful bracelets is the product of my recent trip to New York and inspired by my flower garden. The designs are inlays in wonderful shades of green, blue, purple, brown, red, and orange. All of the colorful stones and enamel work is on oxidized brass findings that are bound together with a soft stretchy cord. I get inspiration from my flower garden all year-long but this time of year it is especially colorful.
I spent Sunday afternoon walking in Central Park. My sister was with me and one of our favorite places was Shakespeare’s Garden. The colors and flowers were similar to the ones in my garden. This quote was on a plaque in the garden. “Of Nature’s gifts thou may’st with lilies boast, And with the half-blown rose.” King John iii I
When I was pondering how to photograph the new bracelets I wanted to place them on something of interest. I scanned my bookshelves and my eyes landed on a sword case! My father-in-law brought it back from Japan after World War II. The wonderful wooden carving and brass accents seemed perfect for my bracelets. The bracelets slipped around the sword case perfectly.
