Classic Legacy Business Travel, Choosing a Lodge, and Custom Gifts

I decided to visit Lied Lodge and Conference Center in Nebraska City, Nebraska at the end of my Classic Legacy business trip.  Lied Lodge is also the home of the Arbor Day Farm.   It is BEAUTIFUL.   I was treated with the beauty of Fall nature, an excellent staff,  wonderful dining,  an inviting nature walk, and as I left had apple pie with ice cream for dessert!   Classic Legacy has  designed a custom bottle stopper for Lied Lodge and it made me proud to see my “baby” in the gift shop.

After visiting this lodge I have some guidelines that I will consider in the future when booking a room for business travel and personal travel……and it seems to me that the two can be combined sometimes!

Location, Location, Location

I will always search for the “gem” in the location where I am traveling. …..and every state has gems!  I really had no idea that just 50 miles from Omaha, NE I would find this wonderful lodge.   Wonderful walking paths are all around and since the founder also established Arbor Day the entire area focuses on nature and preservation of trees.

Facility Equipped for Meetings and Events

Although I was not with a large group I would recommend this to a group because I saw excellent facilities here.   The lobby was large but divided into alcoves with comfortable chairs and sofas perfect for small group discussion or personal reading.   I saw many with books and iPads!  I know there are large conference rooms available also.

Nature Inspired Dining

 Each meal we had at the Lied Lodge was wonderful.   I do think  “Nature Inspired Dining” is a good term.   They are known for their apples and October was a perfect time to discover apple butter, apple salads, and of course apple pie.   They also grow their own grapes and have many wine  related events.

Helpful and Knowledgeable Staff

People are what make every organization.  Everyone knows that but it seems to be even more important at a Lodge to have  a helpful and knowledgeable staff.   The staff at Lied Lodge was wonderful.   We loved our stay!     I will look for a Lodge again in my travels with Classic Legacy custom gifts!
