Little things lead to new discovery. Valentine cards have been saved by my family through the years. Some of the sentiments are silly, some syrupy sweet, and some lovely. I enjoy looking at the art and also the thoughts that were deemed important enough to keep for over 100 years! The sentiment that stood out to me is “The Power of Littles”. “Great events we often find, on little things depend, and very small beginnings, have oft a mighty end.” Clay Jones, my grandfather, signed the Valentine featuring a red rose and this sentiment. It is the little things we do that often lead us step by step to the great events.

Our newest technique is metal collage. Through the years I’ve collected many vintage metal findings. I just could not bear to part with them thinking I would find a use for even the littlest charm or medallion. These little things have led to metal collage art by Classic Legacy.

Our long time customer Borsheims is owned by the Berkshire Hathaway corporation. We began working with Borsheims in 2004 and it has been our privilege to create custom gifts for their shareholders meetings for the past five years. Little Things Lead: Scottish Theme Order
I am thankful everyday to each of you that faithfully keep up with Classic Legacy via our updates. Recently I was asked, “Do you have anything with a Scottish theme?” This was one of the first themes that we created! We have many wonderful tartans, and medallions with Scottie dogs, thistle, Irish claddagh, and celtic crosses. This theme is for a Cotillion and will offer the royal court many selections. As I looked through the vintage Valentines I am thankful for all the “littles” in my business. It is often the small baby steps that businesses take that turn into big orders and long time clients.
