This contest is complete. Thank you for entering.
We are going to have a little fun for the next 12 days. We want to give some special gifts to the lucky winner of our ENTER TO WIN IT contest. When I was a little girl we always made cookies for Santa. We then set out a glass of milk with the cookies. On Christmas morning when we looked at the table near the Christmas tree Santa had always eaten all the cookies and drank the milk. That is a happy memory for me at Christmas time. Through the years I’ve heard that Santa also liked coffee. All that you have to do in our contest is let us know if you think Santa likes milk or coffee. We will then choose a winner from the winning group. The prizes that will be given away include a vintage Santa Christmas ornament by Classic Legacy as well as six of our Classic Legacy wine carriers. Let’s have some fun. Just click on the link and you will be able to ENTER TO WIN IT.
Here is the recipe for the cookies that I make every year.
1 Cup Soft Butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 Tablespoon Vanilla
3 Cups Flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Cream butter, sugar, and egg, and mix thoroughly. Add vanilla. Add flour and baking powder mixture. Roll dough carefully in waxed paper and chill for at least two hours. Roll in 1/8″ thickness. Cut into shapes and decorate with sugars after brushing with egg whites. Bake 5-7 minutes at 425 degrees. Remove immediately to the wire rack. Enjoy.
This year I made some with my two grandsons and they loved the entire process.
